Diffusion MRI Analysis (dMRI)
Automated tractography, DTI metric extraction, and advanced microstructure modelling from diffusion-weighted MRI — processing the full white matter architecture in a single automated workflow.
Module Overview
The Diffusion MRI module reconstructs the full white matter fibre architecture from DWI data, computes the standard DTI metrics, and applies advanced microstructure models to characterise axonal density and fibre orientation. All outputs — tract visualisations, scalar maps, and statistical tables — are packaged into a structured PDF report automatically.
Key Capabilities
- 1
Deterministic and probabilistic whole-brain tractography with streamline filtering and anatomically constrained propagation (ACT)
- 2
Full DTI metric maps: FA, MD, AD, RD — voxel-wise and atlas-region-wise statistics with group comparison support
- 3
White matter integrity assessment using TBSS (tract-based spatial statistics) on FA skeletons; identifies regions of significant diffusivity change
- 4
NODDI modelling (NDI, ODI, ISOVF) for advanced microstructure characterisation beyond conventional DTI
Technical Specifications
AI Automation
A deep-learning denoising step (MP-PCA + Gibbs correction) is applied automatically before reconstruction, substantially improving fibre orientation estimates at clinical b-values. The AI tractography filter removes biologically implausible streamlines without manual ROI definition, reducing false-positive tracts that affect conventional deterministic approaches.
